Why Choose In-Person training vs. online certification?

Benefits of In-Person Training

At BC Hospitality Solutions we use the same course material used in the online courses. However, some municipalities may require in-person training. In-person training allows for a more hands on learning experience and the benefit of learning from peers. It also provides the opportunity for students to ask questions and engage with their instructor. Additionally in-person courses may come with supplemental materials not available or used in online courses.

Customized Learning

Training can be tailored to meet the needs of your business and can be customized to enforce certain areas of training such as time temperature control for ServSafe Food Handler Certification, HACCP for the Food Protection Manager Certification, or preventing minors from purchasing alcohol for the ServSafe Alcohol or TiPS certification course. Course Instruction and Proctoring/Administration

BC Hospitality Solutions is credentialed to teach and administer or proctor ServSafe and TiPS courses and exams. We are hoping to begin offering First Aid/CPR/AED and Blood Bourne Pathogen training by Spring of 2025! We are not scheduling any of these classes at this time and will provide an update when it becomes available.

What courses do you offer?

We offer ServSafe Food Handler, ServSafe Alcohol, ServSafe Food Protection Manager and TiPS Certification courses and exams. We also offer ServeSafe Allergen Review and Optional Certification through the ServSafe website at a cost of $10 per person.

How much do your courses cost?

Do you offer virtual training?

We strongly believe in-person instruction is a better methodology, however in certain circumstances virtual courses may be an option at the instructors discretion.

What if I am not in Massachusetts?

While we only offer in-person training to students and groups in Massachusetts and surrounding States you may be able to schedule a virtual training session with optional online exam administration or proctoring. All virtual classes are conducted over Zoom.

Do you offer group training?

Of course! In fact our in-person courses require a minimum of 5-10 registered participants (depending on the course). There may be limits to class size as determined by ServSafe/TiPS.

Are your Instructors certified?

Yes, all of our staff are certified instructors with decades of experience in their respective field.
